MP-Squared Structural Engineers has provided the Structural Engineering design for many Industrial and Pre-Engineered building modifications. These modifications have been made to facilitate a change in occupancy use to an essential facility, addition of mechanical equipment and cranes, need for additional clear height and wall openings at braced frame locations, and repair to damaged members due to fork truck traffic.
Photo - Middle: Curwood Processing, Wisconsin - Added Duct Support:MP-Squared completed the design for an exiting building to support the addition of several tons of new piping as well as this access platform supported by an existing pre-engineered metal building interior column and an independent crane column. Both columns were analyzed and strengthened for the additional loading.
Photo - Bottom: Rowmark, Inc.:MP-Squared Structural Engineers completed the strengthening design for an existing building to support the addition of several tons of new piping to be mounted on framing above the roof of this existing pre-engineered metal building. MP-Squared performed a field inspection / inventory of the existing building then developed a computer model to for the analysis of this project. MP-Squared worked close with the owner and contractor to develop the most economical and erectable design for this very successful project.
MP-Squared removed a set of full height cross bracing and replaced it with a rigid frame to accommodate the installation of a new overhead door in an existing wall.
MP-Squared Structural Engineers provided structural evaluation and re-design of fire damaged building. Evaluation determined which structural members required repair or replacement. MP-Squared also facilitated all drawing document development showing areas of clean up and repair of non structural components.
